 Sweet Montoya -millie buying-

Taking three small hops Alex slid into the saddle, correcting her seat and collecting her reins. "Stand." she said frimly as the stallion began to walk forward. She pulled back, enough to feel the horses mouth without hurting him. "Now be warned he hasn't been rode in two weeks, just lunged." she laughed. Though she laughed she was being quite serious, if she had known there would be interest in him so soon she'd start training him again. God knows what he'd try and throw at her, she just hoped he wouldn't.

Montoya snorted and strched his neck, pulling at the bit as the human resisted him. He pawed at the ground, feeling the human's slight discomfort. She squeezed his barrel and pushed with her weight. He knew it was the sign to go, so he did as he was told.

She clicked and pulled him into the outside of the ring, in a neat and quick walk. After a few circles of the ring in both walk and trot she decided it was safe to canter. Sitting square she kicked twice and gave him a bit more rein. He corresponded and quickly changed his stride on que. "He's got a bouncy canter, but nothing a quick visit to a good trainer won't sort out." There was a yellow and black cross-bar jump in the center of the ring, not too big, only 2ft or so. "C'mon" she urged quietly, pulling him around the corner and into line. Something about Millie told her she had an interest in jumping, she wsa sure she hadn't said anything, but all the same. He lifted from the soft floor easily and landed with a soft bump. Alex patted his neck, "Good boy." she praised. "I've been told he can do a lot bigger but I didn't want to push him. Then with Valeria foaling I didn't have time to take him back out of retirement." she called as she pulled him back into a trot and then walk, before halting before the fence and Millie. "Do you want to try?" she asked, getting ready to dismount.

Tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is, that I care too much
And our scars remind us, that the past is real
Tear myself open, just to feel.

Millie carefully studdied the stallion as Alex mounted. Then Alex spoke to Millie in return she just smiled. Montoya walked forward just as Alex had mounted, he sure was egar at least. Millie's eyes followed the stallion as he moved around the arena. He had a nice forward going walk and a smooth, also forward going trot and a bumpy but attractive canter. Alex turned him up to a jump probably about a two foot cross. Millie got very interested in the stallion now, especially if he had a good jump. Alex rode Montoya confidently up to the jump, his take off was soft but powerful and his landing was great too. The jump wasn't too high but the technique was definatly there. Millie smiled as Montoya easily cleared the jump. Alex brought Montoya up to Millie and spoke to her. Yes, I'd love to ride him! Millie again smiled and entered the arena.

Millie easily hopped onto the stallion. She slipped her feet into the stirrups and then squeezed the stallion into a brisk walk. She rode him once around the arena, just to get a feel for him. Then she pushed him forward into an energetic trot. She posted neatly to his strides. Millie changed the rein and then sat the the trot. She turned Montoya in a few circles and then prepared for canter. As they came up to the next corner

Not Done. (:
